New RS delivered yesterday. Totally original, including exhaust (too quiet), fsh, 1 owner, low miles... love it! smile

It was the only colour I wanted.. when you see it in the distance, you immediately know it's an RS! Goes well with my orange ST hehe

I love these especially in that colour. Please resist the urge to turn it into a stickered, overly loud chav wagon. There are 2 of these near me both in the same colour you have and there seems to be a competition between the to owners to see who can ruin their car first. Both have numerous stickers and an exhaust you could loose a football in.

Do you mind disclosing what you paid? My friend bought the same age and colour last year with low mileage and paid £25k.

I know the type you mean, and there's no chance in hell anythings changing on this RS, save maybe the exhaust.....she needs to growl a little more. But I will keep the original exhaust in storage too so I can return it to exactly as it left the factory.
It took me a fair old while to find one this clean and all original. As you say, many are mapped, lowered and stickered to death.

Well, I bought it from a Ford main dealer for a little under £23k with a years warranty, full service and mot done.. but it had just been reduced by £1500 when I called to enquire.. I'm happy with that.. I've noticed since I started looking a while back that prices, if not holding..are starting to increase..for nice ones.
I sold a TVR for this, and have no regrets. It draws more attention than the TVR did

I did, and it was the hardest decision I've made in a long time....but, I felt I wanted and needed something different as I've had 6 TVRs, including 2 SEACs.
I love my ST, but have always wanted a Green Mk2 RS. So far, no regrets...feels awesome to drive! biggrin

Blimey. What spec did you get? Lux 1 / 2?

That's a beauty, really is and they are at that age now where standard or Mountune examples are for me the most desirable.

Love mine which I have had from new.

Agree. The Mountune package really makes the car, I thoroughly recommend it.

Only base sadly, doesn't have park sensors or auto wipers... I did look at a Lux 2 car in blue with the stereo/touch screen upgrade etc.. but it was rough, and had more miles and owners on the book. There are unfortunately a lot of cars out there that are not as good as described. I looked at a few before buying this one.. rolleyes

My priority was originality, low miles, and as few a owners as possible (only 1 previous owner on mine) and of course, be as clean and mint as possible. And of course....it had to be green biggrin
I plan on keeping this as I did the TVR, for sunny weekends only and attending a few shows, RSOC etc..

Auto lights and wipers are easy to add it if floats your boat - but with factory tints on mine I've not found it necessary.

Doesn't really bother me.. condition and originality was my number 1 priority. Way too many have been thrashed, mapped, lowered and stickered, which wasn't what I wanted.

I did think long and hard before selling the SEAC, but I was hardly using it....and my girlfriend hated it. She said it was too loud and too smelly (fumes) lol rolleyes
I had an Escort RS Turbo back in 1992... feels good to have another RS.
