Thought id start up a thread to share my new toy.
My previous cars include a fiesta Zetec, fiesta ST, Subaru STi, Japanese import Subaru STi and with Volvo v40 and Mondeo STTDCI doing daily duties. Not many, but I am only 26
Jaguar xkr, 4.2 supercharged v8.
Midnight black, Ivory interior with aluminium and piano black trim.
Picked it up at the end of July and absolutely loving it.

Straight away she went to my local Jaguar dealer to have an inspection as well as 4 new tyres fitted.

Excellent news is that everything is in good order, 4 new tyres later and a fantastic effort from the team at Nottingham I took her for a 250 mile journey to visit family.
On the way home in the torrential rain I took it steady and got an interesting surprise
Yes, the photo is horrible but it's showing 29mpg- not what I expected!
I've currently undertaken the task of ensuring its looking it's best and up to standard. This includes (slowly) completing my way around the car with an enhancement detail and replacing worn out badges.

Most recently, my treasured plate has gone on and the wheels have gone in for a refurb (pick it back up today!)

So, next steps?
It's in for a full service at the weekend and then to enjoy it over a mini Uk grand tour with the Mrs for a holiday.
I shall keep this updated as things go on- or I generally remember to
Cheers for lookin'!

Any thoughts for performance enhancements? these respond quite well don't they being supercharged?

425bhpThe MIL plates look cheap? I like mine - passed down to me by my dad so I love them.
Still chipping away at it enhancement wise, lots to do but I don't get to work on my own cars very often (I detail as a hobby) so it'll take me a while 😂
Thanks for all the kind comments guys

Nice, although the plate makes it look cheap - Can't put my finger on why!
Have a good think about it, and do let us know.

Google 'XKR rear' for photos.
Lovely car though. I've had mine 9 years and wouldn't swap it.

Still debating that exhaust buddy ??
Just not sure as I want it loud but silent when cruising.
I've got no middle silencers on mine (Spires Stage 1) and a smaller back box (Elite RR), it's audible but not annoying when cruising but the loud pedal is now plenty loud. My Mrs. and I drove to Edinburgh for the weekend and back a couple of weekends ago, she never once mentioned the noise.Just not sure as I want it loud but silent when cruising.
I like the blacked-out JAGUAR trim above your rear plate - did you do that or was that on the car already?
BTW, best Jag-specific forum is www.jaguarforum.com, there's a fairly busy section there for the X150 models and plenty of helpful folks.
