Any love for vans ? Vito Sport X

I've been after a van for my business for awhile, looked at lots and lots, went from cheap older ones to brand new ones and everything in between. Couldn't believe how much ££ they are if im honest and the choices did my head in. SWB ? LWB ? Hi-roof ? Panel ? Crewcab ? blah blah blah
Changed my mind about a zillion times, nearly bought a 14 plate Transporter as I was getting fed up, but it was the 84bhp Startline so basically the poverty spec one and as it was replacing my car as my only transport i wanted some creature comforts.
Changed my mind again and decided a Crewcab / Dualiner would be better as it can be used for normal dog / kid / family duties aswell. So the choice was a Vito or Transporter. Transporters fetch crazy money even for ropey old dogs so the Vito in Sport spec and LWB was top of my list.
Then discovered the Sport X. Ohhhh I like them........alot.
So went to see this on Tuesday at a dealer, couple of hours later Im driving it home (never buy the first one you see??) Only a couple of pictures from when i got it home, hasnt been cleaned yet.
So if your unfamiliar with what spec this is
Vito 122 cdi dualiner sport x (lwb)
3.0 V6 with 224bhp and 440Nm
Brabus bodykit and wheels
Sat Nav, Bi xenon headlights, heated leather seats, Cruise , electric side doors, some voice recognition thing, Bluetooth , front and rear parking sensors, an extra auxiliary heater (unsure what that does yet, engine pre warming ?), A/C, so not bad for a van !
From a business point of view it probably isnt the smartest decision I've ever made, but the speed of the thing makes me laugh (until i get back to reality and see the mpg figure)
Needs the wheels refurbishing, few scuffs around the bumpers etc but its a van and will be working for a living. I am hoping that the initial new car ragging it everywhere syndrome wears off quickly and the sub 30 mpg improves but i dont expect it to be great.
Removed the 2nd row of seats today ready for work tomorrow, jesus how heavy !!! The youtube video i watched prior didnt say you had to be the Rock to manage it on your own.

Rust I believe was sorted prior to this generation, although it was the first thing I looked for. No signs.
This is way too fast for a van so can only imagine what 270bhp would do to it. Although did see a YouTube video with one of these with some funky amg exhaust. Sounded pretty good but it's still only a van lol

Cracking van. The 2010 on ones they really sorted out the rust, the biggest downside is the price of parts, not as much cheap pattern stuff for the facelift w639s and even less for the sport x.
Watch out for the dpfs they clog even if you do long journeys, probably as they dont get thrashed as much as the 4 cylinder ones.

Have the HMRC confirmed they classify it as a van for vat purposes?
I was going to buy one for my business, read some horror stories about vans being taxed as cars and got my accountant to confirm the status with HMRC. They stated it would be taxed as a van. With 15k extra a year tax bill I didn't buy it.

Bit of a weird one re the van or car thing. My insurance asked no questions and treat as a car. Tolls seem to treat as car too. I think the dualiners are in between.
Just to add my agreement about the rear seats too. The double one is mad heavy,would be easier with 3 singles but not the way they are.
I get 35 mpg on a run and a long term ave of 32. It's on 133k miles now and the engine is sound but I've had to have the gearbox refurbed....maybe due to missed oil changes by the first owner or chocolate torque converter???

Well did 250 trouble free miles, got an ave 37.3 mpg which is better than hoped (im not a fast driver when working). Wipers were bit s
t so need replacing and there is an annoying squeak somewhere behind the passenger seat, only noticed it on the super smooth M25 !
but once you have heard it it needs to be found.
Straight line speed / shove is very addictive but show it a corner and well.......you remember your in a 2t van. Its fairly quiet I suppose, cant quite get comfy yet but overall more than happy.
Wheels are part of the Brabus package, diamond cut with polished rims. Lacquer peel seems very common on these wheels so will probably just get them refurbed in 1 colour.
Booked in for a service, remove the towbar and 2 new tyres.
