My wrapped 996 turbo
Discussion
I bought the car a year ago an 02 cat c in silver wirh 90k miles. It has a full service history loads of history and a full list of all parts bought for the repair which was surprisingly small for a write off. On saying that I paid 20k for the car so pretty cheap. It drives spot on but I knew when I bought it that the original colour of silver wasn't for me as too many silver cars about and I like lurid coloured cars! As soon as I got the car I bought a new titanium exhaust and then had it chipped by Wayne Schofield at Ninemeister in Warrington it transformed the car! I have put 4 new tyres on and had the rear auto spoiler fixed. I then found the brakes to be a bit poor so I upgraded the fronts to the GT3 6 pots and bigger discs. I bought new side skirts and had them painted in gloss black plus I had lots of the interior trim dipped in carbon plus a real carbon instrument surround and original Porsche carbon gear knob. I also bought a new steering wheel and had it sent away for the paddle conversion. I have taken the wiring to the cd changer and converted it to Bluetooth for the original Bose system and kept the original antiquated Sat Nav.
The major conversion was having the car wrapped in a flat orange/red colour which I think looks great but then the full boring all black interior needed uplifting to match so I had an all new leather interior with matching exterior coloured leather fitted around the new black leather. Some new mats and that's it now.... I did say I liked lurid colours and am sure it's not to everyone's taste but hey that's fine as I say I like it and it makes a good stablemate to my yellow GT3. Even my XkR is in Ferrari Giallo fly yellow so you can tell I am no shrinking violet! Pic below start with the original silver car when I got it....

Very much with you on loving the less mundane colours having owned quite a few myself, although personally I would've gone the whole hog outside with gloss rather than matte.
Interior looks great too.
Looks like a Delorean in the garage as well?
Have you bottled it with that as it looks like a standard finish?

I knew I’d seen it before - why 2 threads in 2 months? I mean it’s nice enough, but even the F1 on the forum only has 1 thread!
