So I'm trying out uploading pictures so bare with me, my current circumstances mean I need a daily beater for my 600 weekly mile self funded work slog i gave up with my e36 after my commute went up but this died anyway after i rear ended someone after they pulled out into my lane but i loved this car, it had coils lsd 15's etc it was great fun . then had a e46 320d

Like that car alot alot and done real well until a van man ended it's life but rust had taken it's arches so I let her go which in turn made more after he paid me.
So I after all this replaced it with an e60 which is current. Now I have to say the e36 was a 318is the e46 was 2.0d and the same with the e60 all mapped or a few bits done the e36 made 151bhp the e46 was 196bhp and the e60 is 212bhp so mildly up on all figures etc all down to irish tax figures on big engines but how never. So far so ok I spose it's a bit more complicated electrically so I had to get inpa etc for airbag lights and a steering lock issue but it's been good so I'll keep with it. Anyway all this mileage and diesel ste has me bored stiff so I bought this littke fellow on the right

She's a pre face R53 which has brought life back to the party. I had to put a power steering pump and a few arms etc but it's been good and returning a string 23ish mpg I've got a dave f a 15% pulley one ball mod and straight pipe it's pretty much amazing under load. I don't drive it alot but gives me a good fix of been an idiot every now and then
So that's it for now.. I really want to try a dsg mk5 at some stage but I don't want to loose the r53 so trying to make it work as a daily I'll have to see
