I'm a bit of a Jaguar fan, have been for years. I can't quite explain why but they just feel good to drive. I think it all started when I used to drive my boss around in his XJ6 when I was an 18 year old apprentice engineer.
Anyway, this is my second Jaguar and one that ive wanted since I first saw it on Top Gear.
It's a 2010 XFR 5.0 Supercharged V8 putting out 510bhp to the rear wheels.

So far its all standard but I'm intending to fit a Spires exhaust system, fit a smaller pulley on the supercharger and get a map. That should get it close to 600bhp.

Really lovely cars, good choice. My brother has a face lift version and I love it!

Lovely. Something I'd consider when I have to give in and get more seats and doors!

Really miss my old one, but everything went wrong with it!

Still keep looking at another, also prefer the ‘classics’ as you can’t mistake them for the 2.2 diesel, main annoyance is the overly long gearing.

Enjoy it.

I've heard some can be really unreliable but my last XF was completely reliable, not a single issue in two years.
I do prefer these pre face-lift cars to the later models.

My Dad has a Le Mans edition one and it goes like stink. It's a seriously lot of car for the money and I absolutely love it.

Well done OP!

Thanks. It's some bargain horsepower. Very similar performance and handling to an M5 but a fair amount cheaper and, in my opinion it's better looking as well.

I'd fancy one of these or the bargain option of an SV8. Lovely interiors.

Much nicer than a similar vintage M5, enjoy.

I think I was unlucky, XFR specific issues was the supercharge and a draggy diff...

On top of that was the common XF issues, rear led lights, window regulators, door locks, parking sensors, air con condenser and I’m sure some stuff I’ve missed.

I only really sold it to release cash for a house move, really do fancy another, just hope it’s a bit better!

Are the seats cream or black? was thinking I might have bought that new in 2010 from Jag Chester

Absolutely love mine. But my god can it been a pain. I had the engine let go on me a year ago- timing chain snapped, new engine fitted.
The replacement engine (which was a brand new unit direct from Jag fitted under warranty) has now started misbehaving - running lumpy, error codes galore on the 3rd cylinder, dealership can’t diagnose fault as it’s intermttent. So it’s currently in and out of the garage which has been going on for about 6 weeks now.
Add to that I’ve forked out for a set of pads and discs all round and a couple of sets of tyres (inc a set of winter tyres).
When it’s working it’s absolutely sublime. I’ve only changed the standard back boxes to a set of Borla /Mina back boxes and changed the air filter and it’s really opened up the sound (sounds amazing on full chat in a tunnel).
I think if you’re changing the pulley and giving it a remap you will comfortably see over 600bhp
Mine will be departing in Feb, as I’ve just signed up to a new car. I will miss the performance and the noise. Definitely won’t miss the unreliability!

Beautiful colour, adore these cars - possibly the only thing that comes close to being a replacement to an E39 M5, in terms of the balance of ride, handling and performance.

If you can, ask Matt at Spires to check the wheel geometry as well, he knows his stuff and it makes a big difference if it's out.

This is the only pic I have of it, it was always on my plate from collection and I can’t recall the plate number when I sold it.

But unless an owner took the mudflaps off its not the same car - similar though.
