After paying for all the mods would have likely not been far off a C63 or at least a C350. Two Hybrid Turbo's, mapping and exhaust wouldn't have left much change from 3 grand. I dont wish to offend and by posting on here you obviously would like to share your car/get feedback. but...

Modifying a car doesn't always make sense. However, wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same thing. I like the work you've had done, nice to see you've put time and effort in to researching modifications and making something different.
I'm currently in the middle of sorting a hybrid turbo for my Saab 9-5, can't wait to get it purchased and fitted.
Have you had any teething issues with the turbo set-up? How many have done the turbo upgrade route?

3D Gel Domed Resin font, credit to Demon Plates..
After around a week of having the plates fitted, i started to get bored of all the chrome on the car.
Being black, i figured the best and simplest route to go down was the murdered out approach, which was quite popular especially in America.
I took my front grill off, then started to sand it down and prime it before painting and lacquering.
Also took my rear griffin off, silver boot strip and did the same process.
Black exhaust tip..why not!
Quick photo of her back on the drive, managed to tint my rear lights too which was not too bad for a first attempt.
Eventually i was fed up with the normal derv sound, although it was never going to be a petrol i wanted more noise.
With no off the shelf systems available for the C220, i got in touch with a company called Longlife Exhausts, who was able to provide a quote.
I set out for a full 3" turbo back system, non resonated straight to the OE tip with a DPF delete, they also managed to map out the EML light which would of appeared soon as i left the workshop.
With this modification alone i had no idea how much it would help the car, it released so much more from the car especially low down, with no bogging whatsoever and its extremely loud for a Diesel on full boost.
I started to again get used to the car as it stood with the stage 1 map, and searched for what would be the best step foward.
Between me and my grandad we wrote down a list of what possible alternatives we could have, apart from selling up.
A company called AET Turbos are well known for their work on a few of my mates BMWS, as well as Turbo Dynamics.
Again with no off the shelf items at hand, the custom route was the only option.
After a lengthy phone call one evening, we decided to remove my OE Twin turbos and have them converted full hybrid turbos.
This included a new 360 degree thrust bearing, re-profiled housing, and a larger billet compressor wheel.
The good thing was where my 1st turbo is smaller, it meant the larger one would help top end, thus to prevent running out of puff.
Downside is it was more work for AET but hey ho!
A trip up to RS Tuning followed once we received the turbos back and fitted them back on the car, also managed to fit my K&N filter too.
We was all really nervous to see the outcome and results, especially being that we had to put normal Diesel in half way up to Leeds because we couldn't find a Shell garage!
Anyway..onto the good bit.
The first run on Tesco normal Diesel she hit 287bhp & 498.2 lbft of torque at the flywheel with the new custom map and gearbox map too.
Not bad considering she made 224.6bhp & 372 lbft on the stage one map...and certainly better than the 168bhp she had out the factory.
Overall i feel the car is phenomenal and just the right power now, i wouldnt want any more torque for this engine.
Summer time some R888Rs will be needed for sure, it spins in 3rd rolling and thats moderately dry.

Hi. I have a e220 amg sport 7g triptronic. And would love that kind of power.
Already have the remap stage 1. But would definitely like about 280-300bhp.
What was the cost for your upgrades please.
And any info from other fellow merc lovers please.
Yes I know I could of brought a 350. But I didn't. So upgrades for my 220cdi appreciated.
