So I posted an update in my clio 200 thread the other month about my Alien Green car, well today I just picked up a beautiful 02 E46 M3 with the much talked about SMG box, to me it’s an awesome car and feels great!
In 2016 it had a full SMG rebuild

Subframe inspected
New rear coils yesterday
Fresh brakes
The car is mint and even comes with the original invoice and a huge amount of paperwork and lots more done to it.
Will post better pics when I have the chance!
Apparently the CSL wheels are genuine ones but will need to check them out properly, I’m pretty pleased with it and it’s only done 86,000 from new!

I had a LY Clio 200 and an E46 silver grey can both incredible cars in very different ways. I loved the rawness of the 200 like it’s come straight out of Mario Kart and those Recaros were to die for!
The M3 on the other hand was incredible the metallic rasp from the engine once it gets up the Rev range is sonourous!!! I had SMG and loved it although of course there are horror stories, takes some getting used to - have to remember it’s not an Auto in any of the modes although one does try bless it!

If it is crack free like you say get it resin injected ASAP or it WILL go, they all do if driven anything like an M3 is supposed to be.

Where are you in the country? I'd also consider ETA Motorsport in Brands Hatch as well as DynoTorque in Redditch. ETA are known on this forum and they did a great job on my M3! DynoTorque have a stellar repututation in the RX-7 world for a variety of reasons and do now dabble in alot of BMWs. I'd say to consider Autobahn in Halesowen but they are unusually expensive for the RACP, as in Redish money but without doing some of the things Redish do; I'm referring to the detailing and video evidence that Redish do for the money.
If you get it done I'd also change the subframe bushes. It's about one of the best things I've ever done to my M3 ; it went from wondering at times to being predictable and pin straight

That looks like a clean and lovely example! Someone has spent money on that! I noticed it has an E60 M5 shifter too. That is a nice touch. If you don't have the CSL SMG rev-match done, I suggest you do; it transforms how the car behaves. It's probably the best bang-per-buck mod I did to mine.
Anyway, enough waffling, get out and enjoy it! I really should be doing that in mine! Going back to the unit reminded me just how much I need to do that!

Well I live in Hampshire so ETA May be a good shout for me, I’ll get an inspection done and go from there to see what it needs but I’ll certiably get the bushes and rev match done, I was dead set on avoiding SMG and now I really like it! Haha doesn’t mean I wcan my convert to a manual at sole point but yes this really does look like a model that’s been really looked at well. Hopefully it won’t need anything major for a while! Definitely get it done, the amount of adverts I ignored for saying they’d ‘been inspected’ was stupid. Inspected can just class as a quick look while the cars in the air or it can be a minute inspection with a magnifying glass there’s no way of knowing. DanielSan said:

Yeah that’s very true, just going off the condition of the car I’d like to think it’s ok but I know this kinda means nothing at the end of the day I guess C2james said:

Out of interest, what made you go for the SMG over the manual?
It was partly because the condition of this car but I don’t think the manual really feels that great without some mods, the Clio feels way better if I’m honest so thought it would be nice to have paddles for a change as I’ve always gone for manuals. Also if I really wanted I know it can be converted too
