My daily and odd weekend toy
Discussion
Thought I'd share my daily and odd weekend toy.
Daily
08 BMW 330d m-sport, all options bar bluetooth and xenons:

Fully loaded and filthy after 1,400 miles in France last year, awaiting the tunnel home:

Cleaned up the following weekend:

Weekend
96 Ford Escort RS Cosworth, standard bar exhaust, filter and some hoses (have everything bar exhaust to go back standard), car was 65 from the end of the production run and I've had it just under 12 years.
Have to keep it in warehouse storage due to space restraints most of the year, but try and do a few shows a year with it.

Daily looks lovely place to spend time - does it have the pan roof? They make such a difference to the interior on these.
The Escort Cosworth is stunning, I am very much a fan of them. Lusted after them for many years and remember trying to plan how I could stretch to £10/£12k to buy one - if only I had!!!!!!! Great place to have some money invested I would suggest.
Love to see some more pics of Cossie maybe a couple of vids - old school visceral driving experience I bet!!

Escort RS is a rare sight now - it's why i've kept it so long.
A very rare sight now - fair play to you for keeping it! I was always after the next adventure - went from MK2 Granada Ghia in 1983 for a MK2 Escort RS2000, then replaced that in 1985 for a Capri 2.8 Injection. Really should have kept the Escort!

Still I'm finally getting the hang of it - I'm getting towards 4 years of BMW Z4Coupe ownership as my weekend toy! But it's really more because I can't think of anything I'd rather have.

The 330 is a keeper, I looked so long to find the right car.
It's like this week, I've been away for 3 days in meetings. Midlands down to Southend, then to Bury St Edmunds, then on to South Norwich, Lowestoft, back into Norwich, then Peterborough finally back home via Daventry and Leamington Spa.
Well over half that was on A and B roads, plus sat in traffic for 90 mins on the M40 - crazy car has done all that, 540 miles, on one tank of fuel! Norfolk A roads have loads of traffic islands too.

RS is cleaned up from storage ready for fresh tax 1st April:

And back into storage

it does have a cover over it now
