1968 Alfa Step front
Discussion
Originally a 1968 GT Junior with a 1300cc engine it's now sporting a nice 2 litre lump on trumpets, still got it's original dizzy/points which will be upgraded this week to a 123 dizzy with electronic pick up.
Quite a few nice Alfaholics bits fitted. No radio or frills !
Drives and steers Lovely, a few minor issues to sort- Speedo works to 60mph then jumps around and settles at about 100mph no chance of a speeding ticket I suspect there!
Rev counter also cable driven (off water pump) seems to have packed in. Wheel paint a bit flaky so they are being repainted soon.
It was restored in Jersey a few yrs ago and had a fair few quid spent last year recomissioning it after storage. 3 owners and 31k miles (I don't fully know if the mileage is correct tbh but it ties in with the electronic dvla history.) Every aspect of the car was overhauled at some point quite nicely done too.

they did, but i do prefer the de-bumpered look to the ones with the chrome bumpers still fitted. just freshens it up a bit. its a car i still open the garage door up and think wow, thats pretty. so small too!
It's a close run thing. The early bumpers were lovely curved blades, so I don't think they detract from the lines as much as the later ones with over riders.Either way, they are very pretty cars!
