BMW M3

Evening all, thought I'd share some pics of the new family car, gave the 340i back a year early (I'll dump a link to the use approved for it if anyone wants to poke around it) so far a very very nice car, sure the E39/E46 are probably better drivers car, but I know where I'd rather be. The colour is the M3 favourite Yas Marina Blue with the darker white leather, extended leather package, heated steering wheel/rear seats, rear sunshades/sunblind and quite a few others that I can't name from the top of my head. The deal we got is pretty amazing too, the 340i was about 480 a month with £8k from the X3 as the deposit, the M3 is about £570-80 a month with a £3k deposit, £8k from BMW at 0% APR. Don't think we've ever been to a dealer as good as Sandal Huddersfield either, had nothing but bad dealers before, Polar Ford, Wills & Ellis, Scotthall to name a few. Been done to death on PH, but we couldn't be happier.

I use Sandal and find them very good, some proper enthusiasts there.
Had a look at your car a couple of weeks back when it was upstairs with a few other M3/4s.

Very nice OP, looks superb. Only issue I have with the f80 m3's is the front suspension height, the back sits nicely but the front looks lifted. Anyone know why they do this?

Thanks a lot, so you might know the M3 I was on about, silver with black leather and plastic interior trim? An odd choice for sure

I noticed the 340 sat higher up when we got it, and then seemed to be lower by quite a bit after about a year, not too sure why

Got my 125D company car from Sandal Huddersfield, really nice to deal with from start to finish at all levels.

that 340i seems expensive!!i have a 335d xdrive msport which was 1500 down and 312 per month. I like the 340i but living the back end of nowhere i needed 4wd, shame there isnt a 340i xdrive.

No doubt the next one will be xDrive. Don't think the deals were too good on the 340i when we got it, ours was most likely one of the first ones, plus the 335d is no doubt the better day to day car which is why they sell so well. You did right going xDrive though, ours didn't get out of the drive in the snow no matter what you did.

Awesome car, the colour all m3/4's should be. Just has so much presence. The only criticism i have of these is the seat backs, the plastic just doesn't look right. BMW should've done them gloss black or covered in leather!

Same gripe I have too, never liked that in the old C63's. It is half covered in that Dakota/plastic material though.

Looks fantastic and the pricing sounds very competitive, wish I hadn't read those figures as it's far too tempting!

Great colour combo with the blue and white leather. It's what I'd go for if I was fortunate enough to be speccing a new M3. What are your first impressions of the driving experience? Is it night and day compared to the 340i or similar in some ways?

Looks ace!. Mind and apply some leather protection on those seats as the dye transfer like crazy. Cracking deal BTW.

Am I just out of touch with current PCP 'going rates' or is this an absolutely spanking deal?

I would never have though that <£600p/m with a pretty modest deposit would put an M3 on the drive.

Thanks a bunch, it's an insane deal, it's about what we were quoted on a 535d 2 years ago. I managed to get us an extra £5k deposit contribution on top of the £3k they were fronting with next to no effort. An M2 barely worked out any cheaper either.

It has the BMW protection stuff on the paint and leather, got a big bag of it with the car.

Steering feels like a MK1 Focus in both weight and near feel, the 340i felt like a Hyundai i30 to steer, albeit direct. They just don't feel anything like eachother, it even rides better without runflats

Lovely car. The M4 leaves me pretty cold but the M3 in Yas Marina is just perfect. Fine choice.

M3 is much better looking than the M4 imo. The rear of the M4 looks awkward to me.

I always think this M3 has a lovely stance when I see them out on the open road. I've never been a big fan of 4 doors though, so I tend to prefer the Coupe version overall.

There's a chap a few doors down from me with a black one and I think it sounds awesome on the cold start.
