30/06/2018 After 25 years of ownership, I am saying goodbye to my Turbo RL.
Took her for a drive this afternoon and she performs as good as the day she was made.
The car is just short of 200,000 miles and I hope the new owner enjoys the car as much as me - a sad day but great memories:

May I ask why you’re selling? That car must have cost a LOT of money 25 years ago. Today, with the mileage covered, a much more modest amount so I’m guessing the money side it’s a persuasive argument to sell.

Nice car though OP.I've worked on one in the past, overall impression was that they were engineered (and designed to come apart) rather than built.
What a cracker. I remember going to look at one of these in red about 15 years ago with my grandad, he wanted to buy it and I talked him out of it for the sheer bork factor and I didn’t fancy having to back him up to my gran 
I think it was up for £9995 at the time, he ended up buying a CLK instead which cost him just as bloody much in repairs!

Licence is a noun, license is a verb...
So licence is the correct variant in this instance. The licence belongs to the driver, hence the apostrophe.
Would you prefer it, for the sake of pedantry, if I used the correct term, driving licence?

I will have a look at the service costs, but from memory - apart from gearbox selector issues and a couple of body repairs (rear bumper/boot damage when a taxi bumped into it a few years ago) maintenance has been pretty much standard so no 'horror' stories.There are a few paint blisters around the door handles and stone chips on the front but the paint (apart from the boot and rear bumper) are original.
What to replace her with - not sure at the moment.
