Hi all, I've recently bought the above car which has only done 17k.
It runs great, but occasionally on start up it kicks out some blue smoke!
Also it pulls very slightly to the left.
I bought it from Merc and they say;
The blue smoke it due to a slight carbon build up because the engine isn't being used to it's full potential (thrashed), and it pulls slightly because the steering is so sensitive and it picks up the road camber - this is despite new tyres and a Merc steering alignment!
Merc says they are going to Terraclean the engine?
Any comments would be gratefully received

They all smoke when parked in a certain position. It's due to oil seaping through from the heads. Have a look on the MB UK AMG forum, nothing to worry about.

It's hard to know about pulling to the left without driving it. They will follow the camber and naturally pull to the left, as will most performance cars. What are you used to?

Mine would smoke when re-starting the engine after it had only been run for a short time, i.e. after reversing it out of the garage or just moving it a few feet.

I'd go to a decent alignment center and get it done there.

It may follow road cambers slightly but if the wheel is straight the car should go straight

This is the case on every car I've driven. You can easily tell if it's pulling due to road camber / lorry tracks etc or if the tracking is out.

Mercedes have a long history of vehicles pulling to the left, huge thread about it on MBClub forum.
