Barn find W123 Merc..
Discussion
Yes, honestly, in a barn. Have you ever heard of something so utterly preposterous?
It's a 280e from the farm we rented a unit on. It seems pretty clean rust wise (two minor blobs I can see) and has two sets of those fancy wheel covers and some other wheels and spares. Should be interesting to see just what it needs when I get time to drag it out.

I'm not following....is it yours now?
Love these, my dad had a lathargic 200 in the early 80's. Gold with light cream interior...sounds awful but we thought it was cool. I always remember the aircon in that car being the best in any car I've ever been in.
Just as well as we lived in a very tropical climate at the time, where it was as hot as it is now but all year round.

Hi all, yes she is mine. Well, I have paid for it but the log book they found was rather old and the number required to change owners online didn't work so will have to sort that.
No specific plans as such; I just want to see if it can rise again!
Does seem solid. I had a poke around in the boot and scanned the bottoms of doors etc inside and out and they seem all good.
Should have a smaller unit back by the end of the month and will have a play and update.

No major updates as such, other than I chucked some leads on it, a new set of plugs and a battery and it fired up first turn of the key.
I may get to move it out at some point of I stop buying other stuff!
You should have chucked some bits of straw, pigeon droppings and emptied out a hoover full of dust just to make it looks a proper barn find (ie more money x10!).I may get to move it out at some point of I stop buying other stuff!
