So, the need for a V8 was too overpowering, I sold my E46 M3 convertible and have purchased a lovely BMW E64 645ci convertible, in black, with really GASH wheels!! laugh
From what I read, this will maybe be my most Marmite car ever laugh

The car:

2005, E64 pre-facelift, 645ci, 4.4L V8. 333bhp with 84k mileage. Auto transmission, convertible, already has 30mm Direnza lowering springs, and back box muffler delete with quad pipes, plus black kidney grilles.
19x8.5/9.5 BBS LM reps with 20mm spacers, but they're not the right offsets for the car.
Tyres are Federal Evoluzion ST-1 in 245/35/19 and 275/35/19.

Price paid £6800.

The wheels are about to be removed. I have just bought a set of OEM style 121, which are silver, but currently being sprayed gloss black.

I will be searching for a permanent set of wheels, possibly 20", and use the Style 121 as winters.

more photos and updates as I go along, I hope you like my Bangle buttmobile..

For now though, here is a video of my exhaust... (excuse me eating gum lol)

Nice car OP, seems good for the price. Dont see many soft tops, must look lovely with the roof down.

Not a fan of black wheels but i don't think it will spoil it, its your car anyway.... do as you wish! biggrin

Lovely car!

Really wanted to buy one of these before I bought my 730D; just couldn't cope with 2 doors and know I'd have regretted it soon after buying

It was the E63 650i cars I was looking it; didn't want a rag top

Lovely car. My friend let me drive his 650i and I've been lusting after one.

Are you going to keep the quad pipes? I find they should only be reserved for the M's

I think I actually prefer the LM reps to the OEM wheels!

LM rep wheels with the chrome rim look great on that, each to their own but I wouldn’t change them.

Love it, have been eyeing these up a fair bit on ebay recently, looks a good buy!

What's the service history like? There's a good V8 5/6 series thread on here somewhere, assuming you haven't found it already.

I thought so too. It's really tidy as well, with brand new tyres and all discs/pads in nearly new state.

I saw a black 6 series recently, it had the Style 121 in gloss black and I just loved it. Seeing as how these are just temporary and winter wheels I feel I can indulge myself in the "murdered out" look... lol

This is a quick photoshop of how it should look, much more me...

Its a pretty comprehensive service history, but receipts for certain bits are missing, like the new alternator I can see, plus a whole lot more.
I haven't found or seen that thread yet, do you know where or the title of it?

I have a company Skoda Octavia estate, that can do everything I need requiring a roof and 5 doors, hence I'm afforded the luxury of being able to have a 2+2 and rag top.
I think this is my 6th BMW convertible now.
