Shall we do one on the gangster BM then? What was meant to be a Q-Car/Thinking mans M5 looks a lot more "G" with those front wings so I'm embracing my inner bad boy with it from now on:

Oh and the business end:

M Sport bits plus Quaife Diff, ESS engine map (with delimit etc.), some cats missing, stickers on airbox worth at least 20bhp.
I can confirm it both donuts and does sideways very, very well.

reading that m5 thread, definitely takes some balls to buy. Good look, looks good. I think most go for the 535d
I was about to make a comment to the effect of "the 4.8 V8 is nowhere near as ruinous as the 5.0 V10" then I remembered the absolute mare of a time my mate's dad had with his X5 4.8iS. Even his Conti GT was more reliable. ManOpener said:

To balance this out, I have run my 2005 650 from 48k miles to 178k over the last 7 years. A wheel bearing, a rear spring (replaced the pair), a few bushes and the oil stem seals @ 145k. That's it. I do try and take a pro-active approach to maintenance, but there has been very little to do. It has never let me down. As it stands today, it still drives beautifully, no squeaks or rattles and I am struggling to think what to replace it with. Trip to office is 270 miles and car is supremely comfortable.
My only complaint is the fuel tank is quite small at ~ 15 gallons.
Really looking forward to the updates on this as the 911 thread is one of the best.

Nice, interested in the power enhancements, as I have the 650i version. Have you VMAXed it yet?
No Vmax but I can confirm it gets past the standard speedo without much fuss. It is supposed to be 400bhp but I am not totally convinced on that, these engines respond fairly well to a map even though they are NA as the valve lift is electronically controlled as is the continuously variable intake manifold. It goes well for a big old hector though whilst looking, for the most part, like a 520D on big wheels. MB140 said:
Yes PPBB Porsche thread and the Audi powered Sauber chassis threads are two of my favourite on here.
Now PPBB has started this one I can see more time being devoted to PH. My wife won’t thank you PPBB.
Alas this is the sensible car so not a lot is going to get done to it. When the current brakes wear out I'll be fitting some M5 ones as they're a direct bolt on and this really struggles when pressing on as it's a lot of weight to stop and the current standard ones are quite undersized.....Now PPBB has started this one I can see more time being devoted to PH. I've had the stealthier estate version now for over 3 years. Nothing wrong with mine in that time except suspension items for mot and auto fluid change for piece of mind - this improved the shifts a lot. I've got some new discs, ebc yellows and Goodridge hoses waiting to go onto mine.
