Jaguar XF S Sportbrake

Hi all,

My dad has finally chosen his new wagon after many dealer visits...



Its 2013 XF S estate with the 275ps 3.0 V6 diesel. I think it's an absolute stunner. He saw so many different XF's before chosing this one. Many had black wheels and he hates them. This was the oldest one he saw, but it only has 23,000 miles on it and is immaculate.

I look forward go having a waft in it.

Great motorway car those things, so quite and comfortable. Also no need to waft, the XF S has a decent punch!

Pfft it's a wagon with a big ish motor. That's all you need to know

These highlight everything that is wrong with lumbering SUVs. why add 500kg to sit a bit higher is still beyond me. I tried it with by buying a Cayenne and hated it. So glad to be back in a saloon..well done your dad for not drinking the coolaid that is a modern SUV

Haha thanks, I agree. I much prefer big estates!

He had loads of saloons but was converted in 2006 when he bought a Saab 9-3 sportwagon. He then bought a insignia hatch but it was unreliable so he went back to a wagon with a Volvo v60. Now this. I think he likes em.

Very nice. I had a 3.0 XF-S saloon as a courtesy car for a few days when my previous XKR was in for some work a few years back, that combination of the twin turbo V6 diesel and the gearbox was very potent indeed, plus all the trimmings and luxuries that you got with Jaguars of that era. I've since changed my 4.2 XKR for a 5.0 version but if I did much more than the 3000 miles/year I do just now I'd be doing them in one of these.
