Lotus Exige V6 Roadster
Discussion
Hi all,
Whilst I loved the Evora, as a weekend car, I did miss having a convertible, but loved the supercharged V6. I decided to go for an Exige roadster (seems a save car. to purchase in November......) its also an automatic I was sceptical, but on the test drive, but was actually very impressed with it, in sport mode the changes are instant, there's even a 'crack' from the exhaust on upshifts as well, and amazing downshift as well (certainly better than I could ever do my self) Its great being able to keep my hands on the wheel too whilst pushing on.
The exhaust of the Evora had the cat bypass done, but the Exige is on another level, pops and bangs on the overrun, really can't wait to try it with the roof off. It has heated seats, A/C and leather dashboard which is nice, I love the silver with the red leather, I originally wanted to go for a brighter colour, but I think this suits it,
here are some photos

You didn't have the Evora very long? Too refined for a second car?
I was really tempted by a Roadster myself after the Elise, but felt the Evora was more usable (even for a second car). I'm not sure how much I'll miss being able to take the roof off, however...!

I think I’ll miss the usability of the rear seats though, just extra storage.

I was looking at the roadsters recently as they are great value..
What is the actual difference between the roadster and S ? Just the roof and spoiler?
Can the spoiler be fitted to roadster?
Too late now I've just bought an Exige S2
I think the roadster is missing the front splitter and the rear spoiler, the roadster has its speed limited too 145 because of the roof as well. What is the actual difference between the roadster and S ? Just the roof and spoiler?

Thanks guys
Regarding the Auto, it’s just a regular torque converter box I think, but lotisbhahe programmed it,
Really is better than I thought it would be, the up changes are very fast indeed in sport or race mode, but there is a tiny delay between when you press the up paddle to when the change is, I’m already used to that though. The down shifts are instant, with a lovely blip from the exhaust
It’s certainly doesn’t seem to change the character of the car,
