I decided to go back to my roots and replace my mondeo daily with something a little more special. This is my 2nd 940 diesel, 5th 940, and 8th volvo.

Ive always kept an eye on 940's and old volvos alike since ive had a few. Ive never really found a nice condition diesel. They all seem to be work horses. Battered and scruffy, and mostly auto.

When this cropped up i snapped it up. They have quite a following, and the engine, the D24 is a VW engine lifted from the LT series. They are an old school, rattly, not really economical straight six turbodiesel.

Only have a few pics of her currently:




She had a straight pipe exiting just in front of the rear drivers wheel and sounds awesome!

A few things that swung it for me are:

- Dark grey paintwork
- Toad alarm
- Hydra alloys
- Egg crate grill
- Manual

One of the cars I grew up in was a 940 Turbo so I have a lot of love for these boxes. Those really are the best alloys for the 7/9XX cars. They do benefit from the egg grill aesthetically too, which means you pretty much have all the aesthetic mods sorted out!

Just keep it tidy really.

I want to tint the boot windows as it really bugs me everyone can see whatever u have in it. Few 960 bits to swap over like door handles, boot trim and spoiler. Other than that drive it! Ha
