Any other F150 owners on here?

Had it 12months now and still makes me smile at every start up.
2010 F150 Platinum, I understand there are 4 platinums in the uk.
Original bill of sale (was imported brand new) is £56,500
5.4V8, custom tune, decatted stainless quad exhaust, cold air intake, 3inch lift with 33inch tyres.
Next thing I’m after are some super duty tow mirrors.
I’ve put nearly 40k on it this year and it’s faultless.

Yeap I love mine too , wife drives a Grand Cherokee also . Word of caution , the 5.4 are notorious for blowing spark plugs out , Ford do supply a bodge repair kit , but if the heads need to come off so does the entire cab . Great trucks though , and the paint standard from that year was superb . We're in the middle of winter here so crappy roads etc , yesterday was 0 degrees so washed mine off and she looks like brand new again . Every time I start it the bark from the pipes makes me smile

It’s loud externally, inside it’s just nice and a burble unless your at WOT.I do have some issues with country lanes, but it’s part of the fun the same as parking.
I don’t think it’s that big, but then I park next to something like a Range Rover and dwarf them.

That fault was rectified for the 2009 / 2010 Production years. But yes early ones can be a pain.

I bought it private, it was originally only 10mile from my address with its first owner, I got it from it’s 2nd owner a guy down In Somerset.I've currently got a Mustang GT....debating whether to go for an American pick-up truck next. Bizarrely my local Ford dealer had an F150 parked pride of place on their forecourt. First time I've seen them with American market stuff.

But mine is the super crew cab with 6.5foot bed. About as long as an F150 gets.
They do longer beds at 8foot but with smaller cabs. Mine is like a limo in the back, with the front seats fully back there is still 2foot rear leg room.

To those saying they are too big for our roads, I drove large vans and 7.5 ton trucks all over the UK. I never really had a problem.

I have 2010 Raptor running a Whipple charger with full Flowmaster exhaust. It is 8" wider than a normal F150 but it isn't too much of a problem - you just have to choose your parking spot carefully. I can't think of any other car I would rather have given how I use it.
I have a 2012 Raptor with a Procharger with Full Stainless Works System. I concur, they are not small, had mine for 3 years and over 30,000 miles now. I struggle to think of anything to replace it with that ticks all the same boxes.There's a lot of them in Mexico where I live: I've driven a couple and they're wonderful things. Nearly bought one too, but it was impossible to find a non abused one with the spec I wanted - people don't take much care of pickup trucks over here.
I'd happily have one in the UK if I needed something to haul heavy loads: they're totally incomparable to the UK market pickups.
