My fleet...happy with it but likely to change soon
Discussion
Well I feel like I’ve had the pleasure of reading so many of yours in the last 10 years or so that I ought to contribute.
I’m not much of a writer and don’t have pics of previous cars, some of which I have listed in my garage. Only one I miss really is the 200sx.
Current fleet:

Poorly erased reg plates and me and looking like a bellend in the background deleted.
Fire away any questions.
Cl500 latest acquisition this summer. Couple of issues but keeping on top so them myself
Is250 quite amazing reliability and comfort for the last 3 years and wonderful for the money. Crashed it, replaced the doors myself on passenger side inc all wiring etc. Biggest job yet on a car and really satisfying.
Rx400h comfy, reliable, half decent mpg - I now get the whole suv thing. 166k on the clock, just a bit of welding on the exhaust
Swift sport belongs to swmbo. Reliable and great fun to rag. Just a bit small for my liking not that I’m a big lad.
Feel better for doing something constructive this sunday!

So, not much interest in my original attempt at a readers car thread.
Current fleet:

Latest acquisition BMW 135i coupe. Loving this as my sports car (I like a bit of comfort so probably won’t get anything smaller). Within the first week I had it on the Ramos quite a lot. Oil service plus air and cabin filters. Oil filter housing gaskets change - definitely needed that. Changed some interior trim for non scratched ones. Couple of new coolant hoses needed and coolant replaced.
Needs good tyres - probably PS4’s as it’s running on acceleras at the moment although they were new when I got the car so scratching my head about whether to wait until they’re done first.
Contemplating a remap but 300hp on a small coupe seems to be enough.
Is250. Running with no issues as a daily as it has for years. Bit bored of it but it’s so reliable and well kitted out I’m in two minds whether to change.
Rx400h. Uber reliable comfortable upmarket and practical. Currently sorn.
Cl500. Love it. Project car that’s been reliable but needed £2k for last mot although I overdid it and put 4 Dunlop sports on which weren’t strictly required. Need a bit of plastic trim for the door handle and the paintwork has scabbing on most panels due to them being aluminium so might be looking at a full respray in a darker blue ( yes it’s blue not silver). Would put me in for way more than it’s value but I love the v8 and the luxury and gadgets of an 18 year old car. Currently sorn as well
Want to get all 4 back on the road.
I like cars from mid 90s to late 2000s before too many gizmos came into every car. But I also feel like a change up way too often. Addicted to car hunting I guess and blowing money down the drain.
Any comments more than welcome.
Btw, the Suzuki is still with us but not technically mine...

A man after my own heart!
I love running good, yet cheap, stuff.
I have an F11 535d M Sport Touring, E46 330Ci convertible and W211 E500 at present.
Would love to add an LS460 SE-L for motorway work, an E86 Z4 3.0 Si and a facelift SLK 350 (random but just seen one).
How is the IS250? I have always loved the idea of one for the reliability and kit. I know it is ‘only’ 200 hp or so but looking to change the other half’s A3 TFSI at some stage so this may fit the bill?

Z4 coupe also high on my list and great value for money, and then I also saw the values of slk 350s and my decision got a little harder. I love running good, yet cheap, stuff.

Generally I find the one below the halo car as the sweet spot on costs and fun.
Is250 I’ve had the longest and I have had zero issues. It’s comfortable, rwd so will step out if you push it a bit, I honestly can’t fault it - it’s a luxury Toyota so you can’t get better than that for reliability and comfort in my opinion.
How many to add and run at the same time is the question...

I feel your pain with the daily driver..
My bores me alot of the time, but the fact mine smashes amazing MPG and super reliable means i cant part with it.... i know the moment i do i'll regret my decision
Great fleet
Thanks. That’s the problem; the 250 is worth so little and even to replace it with something similar if a bit more powerful seems like such a lot of money for not much more and potentially less reliability. My bores me alot of the time, but the fact mine smashes amazing MPG and super reliable means i cant part with it.... i know the moment i do i'll regret my decision

FYI your e46 thread got me thinking about this again and getting them all insured etc.
Means cutting down on the whiskey and casinos so it’s probably an easy sell on the health front.

Just curious why you have so many cars that are quite close in function/capabilities. Looks like a lot of insurance to me...

Kinda want to change up the colours a bit as well hence the red bmw.

Fleet update ahoy.
Post divorce now and whilst losing the inevitable half my s
t I treated myself to a 40th birthday gift last year.
So I now have the Lexus is250 (currently sorned), the e82 bmw 135i coupe - Done a couple of minor bits and making sure it’s well looked after as it’s now on 105k miles and is the n54 engine which I love.
So the new purchase

Absolutely love this thing. Bought approved used which is unusual for me. 34k on the clock now, couple of carbon bits. This thing is a do-it-all car. Sedate when you want and manic when you want. Seems from forums I’m in the minority of liking the exhaust note. This can Gt or sports car and first time I’ve had apple CarPlay and decent infotainment which I am enjoying.
Personally I think it compliments the 1er. That’s a pure little sports car even it’s the auto box.
Now I’ve just got to get the Lexus fixed up and sold and decide what kind of car I’m missing.

I missed your earlier posts, but love your M135i Coupe - especially in that colour.
I'm not sure you are missing anything from your fleet unless you like the idea of a (hateful) SUV! And do you really need the IS250 any more?
Interesting that the Z4 Coupe idea never happened as I had two 3.0Sis before I got an M Coupe a couple of years ago, but I suppose your 135i covers weekend hoon duties!

You’re right I don’t need the Lexus anymore. I'm not sure you are missing anything from your fleet unless you like the idea of a (hateful) SUV! And do you really need the IS250 any more?

Both cars are great for hooning in slightly different ways yet I still want a z4 coupe. The M would be preferable. It wouldn’t add anything particularly different but I just love the way they look and the mini fastback shape. However, a luxury wafter is in the cards as well. I’m never satisfied (probably like most on here) and I always want to add without subtracting.
SUV - I’d want a proper one this time if I go for it. Jeep Wrangler or similar so that I could (in theory) start those off-roading pay and play things.
