Alfa Romeo 4C Spider
Discussion
Hi all
Even though I hadn’t had the the car long, I wasn’t gelling with the Exige as much as I would have liked. So decided to purchase my first Alfa Romeo! So ended up going to see a 2016 4C spider in rosso competizione, I ended up putting a deposit down that day.. it’s a 1 owner car with just over 9000 miles on it. I have been keeping an eye on them for a while, but this one in this colour I fell in love!
It seems a completely different animal to the Exige, still just as much as an event to drive, certainly love the carbon fiber in the cabin, and makes it feel more exotic than it is. It really does feel more power than the specs would suggest, the shove in the back when the turbo kicks in is brilliant, as are the whooshes and chatters from the wastgate! The engine sounds fantastic too (this one has the ‘race exhaust’ so is quite vocal...) The MPG is quite impressive too for the kind of car it is.. I’m looking forward to getting some better weather to get to know it better

Go to the Alfa Romeo section on here, plenty of interesting info about 4C's
I have same car and colour but a 50th Anniversary one and agree with all your comments. After a while you'll possibly notice the steering tugging away trying to pull you off the road especially on poor surfaces, get to Alfa Workshop and get it sorted.
Enjoy!

been having a good look in the section, and at the 4C modification thread too, and working my way through the members Alfas photos. Ah yes, I have noticed it doing that ok some of the uneaten roads we have around here. May well get the Alfa work shop modifation done on it. An update with the 4C, still fantastic! Such an occasion to drive, and feel an event, and always surprised by the public reaction it gets compared to any car I’ve owned, including Evora and an Exige, it seems more exotic somehow. I’ve joined the 4C forums, and found a new member with an Alfa Red Spider lived 15 minutes away from me! so we had a mini meet at my local.... interesting seeing the comp red and Alfa red together.
I’ve also purchased some carbon goodies for the interior, yet to fit it, but I’ve also purchased the Alfa works stage 1 ECU, should take it to 280hp, not sure what that would be like, as 239 is pretty hairy with the weight of the car!!
