Mercedes W204 C350 Sport Blue Efficency (Petrol!)
Discussion
Awesome car, they look perfect for making relaxed progress. I'm currently looking at the coupe version as a comfy cruiser.
Is a 30mpg average achievable for mixed driving?
I really don't want the the c220 cdi. It was a good engine for a taxi but it just spoilt the whole feel of the coupe. The c180 petrol sounds underpowered thus leaving the 350 left!

Brilliant, thanks for the feedback. Sounds like you've got a gem!
Power wasnt too much of a concern as I've recently got caught speeding; 64 in a 50. I've sent off for a course of the paperwork so fingers crossed it's no points. As long as the engine has enough go on the country roads and is rexlaxing for commuting then I'm sold!
Other contender is a 335i coupe but I know that it won't be as relaxing as the Merc. Any reason you didn't go for a coupe?

Lovely car OP, and it looks like it's quite a rarity too!
I've had a few Mercs (the last was a W202 C280 Sport) but I really prefer a manual gearbox, so I've swapped allegiance to straight 6 BMWs now.
But a naturally-aspirated engine with more than 4 cylinders is a great thing - shame they are getting hard to find now.

I’ve got an estate version in pearlescent white and sport box and suspension. The previous owner had an Aston Martin but preferred this. 110,000 miles so far. Just brilliant.

Yeah, according to how many left site there were only 56 or so registered. I think most were coupes, I’ve only seen a couple of saloons and not a single estate
