At the age of 18 having newly passed my test, one of the first cars I drove was my GF's 1980 Fiesta. At the age of 20 I bought my first brand new car, a 1987 Fiesta 1.1 Pop Plus. A little over 31 years later, and I'm back in a Fiesta again.
Added this little commuter to the fleet. A 2013 1.25 Titanium. I'm enjoying it more than I should. Mrs isn't convinced though.

There are many things you get in a modern Fiesta that you didn't get back then.
For eg. Elec windows & mirrors. Remote central locking. Usb, aux in, steering wheel controls, radio /cd. Power steering ! Abs and antispin. Even a rear wiper wasn't standard. But there's one thing you did get back then, that you don't now. A f
king spare wheel !

I had a mark 3 popular and it had less spec than the luxury cars you are taking about. No parcel shelf, glove box door, door bins, offside mirror, tinted glass, rear wiper, lights on warning, rev counter.... it did have a 45 horsepower carb fed engine with a manual choke and four forward gears.
