Hello everyone,

I’m new to Piston Heads having been told to post my car on here by a mate and member.

Last week I bought myself a 1977 Lada 2101.

It’s a LHD 4 speed 1.3 engine, in very good overall condition, best of all: tax and mot exempt

Cheers guys

So I bought her last week, I’ve got loads of pics but I can’t upload them on here as they’re too large - I’m trying to compress them but can’t find a good enough website / app... any recommendations?

I would but I have no idea what filling station that was taken at... it’s the sellers photo and the only one small enough to be able to upload on here.

Yes, I'm definitely interested in this. It's great to read about cars that aren't typical Pistonheads stuff

Wonderful! In the day I had a 1000 miles boot damaged Lada Riva 1200 that served me well for a couple of years to be followed by a much loved Riva 1500 estate that I bought for peanuts. I was stopped for speeding by the local traffic branch travelling at a three figure speed who refused to be believe that a Lada could reach these speeds and dropped the charge! Ah happy days!

Excellent, love these; that one looks v.clean.

PH at it's finest - live threads on a Lada & a Vector today. Fantastic.

Maybe a Hummer H1, Lambo LM002 or Ferrari GTO owner might be out there as well smile

Brings back memories. My dad used to sell these back in the 80's. He had one from a driving instructor in for a service one weekend so let me have a go. First car i d ever driven. I was about 14.
Spent every Saturday cleaning Ladas in my teens at his garage.
Many happy memories.
If I saw one for sale I would probably buy one for prosperity although a rare sight these days. They all got sent back to Russia.

Thanks everyone thumbup

Does anyone know how I can upload images that are over 2mb? Do they need compressing? If so any recommendations on how to do it.

Cheers

You can load pics up to 2.5mb but it depends on the quality, I use a free app on my Galaxy A5 called Photo and picture resizer, simple, free and does what it's supposed to. Great car, looking forward to reading more!!
