Rather impressed witb my first ever SAAB.

2.0 Turbo. Very comfortable. Quick enough. Heated leather seats. 30ish mpg

100k miles and rather nice condition all for £1500.

I've had this as a courtesy car. Slushbox and handles like a pogo stick. Makes me feel like an oap.

As Saabs go it's not the coolest by any means but it has a turbo and the "right" number of doors which is a good start.

I had a couple of 9-3 hatches, one the same as yours with the 2.0 lpt the other a 2.2TID- nasty but dependable until the fuel pump gave up. Generally very reliable & comfortable with shall we say very well hidden sporting credentials, they are odd things at high cornering loads.I replaced the shocks/springs on mine with Bilstein b6s which helped tame some body roll.

If you start playing with the engine then they can be great sleepers. A mate of mine ran a slightly older 900(GM era very faded red 3 door) with around 300hp which was a right giggle.

Yes. I was surprised how few Coupes there were when I started looking.
