Not posted one of these in a while. Current fleet which I am very happy about, oldest first.

1967 Land Rover Series 2A
Bought in 2015 as a 30th bday present to myself, from a guy from the CSL forum. Bought it back down to the midlands where it was first registered in late ‘67. Nice backstory where the guy that rebuilt it in 2006 drove this very vehicle on his honeymoon to Hustanton in 1968 (ex Land Rover salesman)!
Drives well, is solid and been utterly reliable. Nice spec with freewheeling hubs and overdrive. Will cruise happily at 55mph. Does 14mpg though! Doesn’t get much use, and with no garage space may sell it as hate to see it just sat outside
2004 Passat Estate 1.9 TDI
Bought as a stop gap vehicle 9 years ago with 117k, it soldiers on. Now on 215k, used for airport runs, local stuff and a couple of euro trips per year. Been fantastic, and with regular preventative maintenance drives like new. So comfy and 50mpg all day long. Great engine.
Exterior looking a bit rough these days, but interior mint. Will keep it for another few years as it’s worth peanuts although getting embarrassing driving it to work. Will eventually swap for a newer Passat.
2004 BMW M3 CSL
Bought five years ago, I ran this with BMW warranty until last summer. Had £10k if warranty work, cams, diff etc. Now spot on, and having owned a CSL with half the mileage of this (this is on 70k), this is definitely a goodun.
Few ring trips but unfortunately a garage queen most the time now. Can’t wait to get it out the garage for summer shortly
BMW M6 Coupe
Needed a new daily after I sold my 330d last summer. Used the CSL for a bit but was hard work on my commute. Passat is fine, but wanted something nicer to use for work and stuff.
Looked at M5s, 540is then noticed what fantastic value the M6 is right now. Picked this up in December for less than half list price, 1 year old, 10k Miles.
Love it! It’s too big and fast for UK roads but always feels special driving it. Can’t wait to get it to the continent this summer. Came with a service pack, new tyres and loads of life on the brakes. 24mpg average which isn’t bad. Should be relatively cheap motoring!

Thanks. I can’t get over the value of the M6. The interior is sublime, full leather everywhere, even alcantara headlining. Also with this being almost last off the line it has most options on it, although many utterly pointless imo. The lane departure warning doesn’t even work!
As much as I love it it is pretty unpractical. It’s huge but the rear seats are virtually unusable. Will probably go towards a used new shape M5 a few years down the line. At the time of purchase the Coupes were quite a bit cheaper than the Gran Coupe.
