Well, I have inherited a 2001 X type to sit alongside my Polestar and Smart car
It’s been in the family since new, has a full history, been garaged all of its life, and has only covered 56k in 17 years.
Surprisingly, the air con, auto lights, auto wipers, electric seats, parking sensors all work, and there is no rust other than a couple of scabs on the rear door.
It’s the 3.0V6 AWD so it does about 15mpg in town, however it did reach the economical height of 27mpg on a 60mph cruise on the motorway of which it will see about 4 times a year.
It has unmarked cream leather with a two tone cream / brown leather dash, cassette player and a 6 Cd changer in the boot !

I had one of these in the same colour blue, ivory leather and walnut.
Something about it was just special. Until every single thing you can think of went wrong.
Check the rubber seal on the back door windows. They tend to rust under there as there is a bare metal clip that holds the rubber surrounds on.
One day I might get another. Special cars.
