My Golf Edition 35

After having a steady stream of Mk5 Gti's and an Edition 30 i thought it was about time i took a step up. As good as the Mk5's have been, the interior is starting a feel a little dated now and i had a want for something a little special again. A Mk6 GTI with the right spec would have been fine, but the possible depreciation put me off and well an Edition 35 is an Edition 35

After confirming that an Edition 35 would be my next car, i set about finding one with the correct spec and ideally from a VW dealership. I wanted DSG, Front and Rear Sensors as a minimum. Went to look at a couple until finding this one at VW Worcester. A smidge over 60000 miles, DSG, Black Vienna Leather and DSG. Good history and only a few owners. I had seen one at VW Chester but they weren't willing to negotiate on price at all so that was a no go for me. Scott at VW Worcester was good from the outset and we came to an amicable deal for both parties.

Well, here's a photo. The only one i've got so far. No real plans for the car apart from keeping it tidy and enjoying it.

What wheels are those?

They are the optional 19 Inch Glendale Alloys. They look a little like Audi Rotors, but are Genuine VW Alloys.

I'm considering one of these but the mk 6 r is not much more.

Love the MK6 both Edition and R, whilst considering hot hatch options the MK6 was firmly on the radar but a lot of people report the MK7 chassis was a big step forward.

I love the look of the car and being AUC you get warranty etc.

I too have the Mk6 Golf but in R form so basically the same engine (CDL) but with 4wd. I kind of wish I'd gone for the Edition 35 as they definitely look better and properly a lot more fun to drive than mine too.

They tune well with relative ease and expense, mines over 360bhp and 400lbft.......

I was tempted by an R but love the nature of how rare they are (not saying that the R is two a penny though).

Tempted to map it in the future. For now i shall be enjoying as is.

Was looking at these a while back... Ultimately plumped for the rocco R. Lovely engine, I think it actually sounds nice for a 4 pot motor too, but i'm probably not normal haha

Its funny you say that as compared to the GTI’s I’ve had in the past it’s not bad at all. An exhaust is needed at some point though.

Have been loving this more than ever recently but after some bad news last week it now has to be sold.

Anyone got any ideas as to how to move it on? Any dealerships that may be keen. I’ve had offers of £12.5k but it’s worth nearer £15k imo.

Happy to let it go for £13k ish but don’t want to take a huge hit.
