Traded my L200 and went all van like for a change.

Just over a year old and great nick. Ltd spec so pretty much everything and drives infinitely better than the L200

Towbar for my caravan fitted nextweek will mean taking the Husqvarna enduro on my hols ! Yay lol.

Ran this L2 H2 170ps from new as my daily car for almost 2 years until I finally needed more space and had to change it. Absolutely brilliant vehicle and when I was doing long journeys I’d choose it instead of my cars because of the economy, tax efficiency and driving position. Wonderful.

I sold it last year with 18k on the clock and I had enough back to buy a Peugeot boxer with the money. The boxer is much bigger and fits my purpose at work far better but as a driving machine the Ford is streets ahead.

My only really bad criticism of it is that with an empty payload over speed bumps of any kind the Ford was absolutely brutal. Something definitely wrong with the suspension tuning there!

Ill be using mine pretty much as a daily. Got it a couple of days ago. Must say Im impressed so far.


I had the 2007 model with nearly 200k on the clock which was rusting away so thought its time for a new one. What a big improvement , it drives like a car but just bigger.

Handles very well. 130 hp seems enough. Cruise control , heated seats and windscreen a nice bonus. More than enough tech for me.

Getting around 35 mpg currently.


Needs a rubber floor putting in the back as the plastic is very slippery and some racking then Im good to go.

I have a ply floor which I've painted with acrylic grip paint but I'll be looking for rubber matting for the back as well.

Ordered rubber front mats, HD seat covers and a 12v outlet to fit in the rear so far.
Towbar fitted next week.

Was out in it today and it really does impress with how it drives.

usually in public car parks like all other caravan-towing vans.

I use normal campsites and the very occasional caravan club site.

Anywhere that refuses me and my grandkids because I'm in a transit doesn't deserve my money anyway.

A bloke down the street had his Transit like that broken into using that key scan method that seems popular with high end German stuff, probably worth protecting your keys on that van. Nice van though

Been reading about security.
Bump keys can be used to disable the immobiliser as well I think.

Heard of rep locks but not sure what they are or what ones are good.
I only got the remote keys with it, I never got the key for the drivers door manual lock.

I doubt they used that method as Transit doesn't have remote keyless entry/passive start.

There was an update to the system which dealt with a security vulnerability.

Had mine for 13 months and going to hit 40k this week.170 sport auto is a great spec.

Caravan sites are easier with no sign writing, and calling ahead without an Irish accent eases things considerably.

Nice! I like driving transits. Also I would certainly agree that calling ahead so that campsites don’t confuse you with p1key scum will almost certainly get them on your side. Explain that the van is for your hobby and not for moving stolen things lol.
