2007 Honda Accord 2.0

Hi all, long time lurker but new member/poster and wanted to share my daily driver with you - lord knows why as its hardly a special car but its mine and I'm happy with it at least 
and I guess they're might be someone else who likes these underrated saloons.
Anyways on with the pics and waffle, here she is complete with a month's worth of road crap stuck everywhere:
So she's a 2007/57 registered Honda Accord 2.0 SE in Nighthawk Black pearl - yay base spec but still better equipped than almost all my previous cars
. Bought in January of 2018 and hopefully will be with me for a few years yet.
Mucky I know but with the state of Wiltshire's roads at the moment (farm traffic and muck everywhere) cleaning is a fools errand, come spring I'll give her a good hose down
Currently things are pretty much standard outside except for the 17'' Penta alloys (found for a steal at £80) but I have messed around a little inside:
Big red H to remind me it's a Honda
'carbon' effect door trims from a type-S as they look a little more special than the standard SE spec items.
Integra Type-R titanium gear knob, so I freeze the skin off my hand in winter and burn it off in summer, in all seriousness though this was a useful mod as it gave the gear shift some more weight and positive action.
I've had the front bumper off and removed the airbox resonator assembly from in front of the passenger front wheel. Doubtful it's done much other than let me actually hear the intake (K20's ftw!) But it was easy and a lot cheaper than a cold air intake setup for a similar effect.
I have many many plans for Beth (as my partner has named her) but who knows how many will come to fruition with our impending wedding, I'll give details in a second post.

Plans include:
•A mild drop (35mm or so) to tighten up the handling and to deal with the comedy arch gaps.
•Uprated rear ARB from an Acura TL to reduce the inherent understeer.
•Us/Japanese spec front plate holder and plate.
•Replacement of that chrome beak with a honeycomb black item from a type-S/euro-R
•extra soundproofing in the arches and boot/bulkheads to dial out some of the road noise - I like to hear the car not the potholes
•custom stainless exhaust
•upgraded speakers
There isn't a lot more that can be done performance wise to these and in an ideal world I'd have gone and found a Euro-R (might still do one day if money appears) but that doesn't mean I can't have a little fun with this one right?
This morning I decided to upgrade the rear speakers as Honda's stock effort is a bit weedy. As these pics show:
Not much of a magnet on those is there? And only a single driver cone too which means muddy sound with little definition, so out with those and in with these:
Not the last word in hi end audio but quite a step up from the factory bits. Like a lot of manufacturers Honda use a proprietary connector for speakers which means either splicing wires (which often break down when done by amateurs like myself) or using a dedicated adaptor like this:
The speakers were a straight drop in fit thankfully and look much more purposeful
And with grills in place you'd never know the difference:

What are these like to drive? I only have experience of a previous generation model (1.8 Type S).
Quite surprising really, I find it comfortable and refined unless the road surface breaks up and then it can get a little harsh. Only 155bhp and a bit of weight to move so not the fastest off the line but once the revs pass 3k it changes character as you might expect from a Honda and revs happily (and quickly!) up to its redline at 6800 - sounds pretty good in that range too.Regards

Quite a bit better, more definition and clarity at normal volumes and no distortion when cranked up a bit, I'm going to be doing the front door ones next once I can figure out which plastic spacer brackets will fit - no one seems to do a dedicated version for the UK Accord of this generation How does it sound now with the new speakers?
As regards the Bluetooth, I've disabled mine as the module lives at the top of the dash behind the vents and is notorious for failing - going open circuit - and draining the battery overnight. Not worth the risk just for some phonecalls!
