Punto Evo modification suggestions

Hi all, this is my fiat Punto Evo. It's the second car I've ever owned and I'd say its pretty good compared to the dinky VW fox I had before it.

I was hoping to modify it to make look a little more flashy but without breaking the bank or causing the insurance company to soil itself (I'm paying way too much as it is )

If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it.

To be honest I think it looks pretty damn good already, but I must admit I'm weird for liking that gen of Punto - the only thing I'd personally change is the alloys to silver.

You could make it into an abarth supersport replica if you want but to be honest the insurance will probably not like it much.

The boring answer is just enjoy it for what it is and save for something a bit more tasty in a couple of years when the insurance is more realistic.

Good point. Wouldn't mind saving for a BM 1 Series M sport coupe.

I'd love to have an Arbath Punto Evo but due the miles I do to work a diesel just makes sense. Plus I think I'd have nightmares for weeks if I looked up the price to insure it

Again, this’ll bore you but I’d set a modification budget and then put it towards the next one. It has worked for me for many years

Those Puntos are still a really good looking little car in my opinion, even though that shape came out in what, 2006?

The Punto is already a great looking car, from the hand of the master, Giorgetto Giugiaro.

To my eyes, you shouldn't, and can't, do anything to it, without ruining its looks. It already looks lowered. Maybe you could swap the wheels for some Abarth wheels, if you stay away from stickering up the car with Abarth badges.

A cheap modification, remove the dealer stickers and license surround.

Yeah the Grande puntos came out 2006 I think and the got face lifted in 2011 and then again 2013 (I think)


Personally I think they dropped the ball with last facelift

I like these Puntos and I'd leave that exactly as it is.....apart from maybe tinting the front fogs yellow.

I've had a good think. Do you think changing the car bulbs to LEDs or Xeon lights would be a good idea?

It looks like a relatively spruce new car, with what I assume to be modern, bright lights from factory. Do you REALLY need to do that? Are the lights in there at the moment satisfactory? I think you'd just be gilding the lily to be quite honest, and agree that just leave it as it is for now. It's lovely the way it is.

Tint the rear windows from the B pillar back a little more, smoked side repeaters, and yellow tint the fog lights.

All the above will contrast well with the white paint, look subtle but a change for you, and wont break the bank.

If you are still bored consider a nice stereo system.

The lights are actually a bit on the dim side due to me being a bit poor and buying Halfords cheepos when the lights went out a couple of months back.

What I should probably be asking for is suggestions on better bulbs

Remove no plate surround and silly blue tailgate sticker/badge.

Fit shorter aerial.

Good suggestions. I was actually looking at a new stereo system and speakers as my current set up is a little lackluster
