Finally signed up after years of browsing.
Here’s my daily and the garage dweller by it’s side.
I’m sure they won’t appeal to all but they tick my boxes.

How do you find the running costs / mpg / reliability of the Jag ?

Seriously thinking of one of these facelift ( 2007 to 2009 ) xj diesels to replace my 2007 Lexus LS460 as I am doing 500 miles per week in the Lexus and the petrol bills are hurting !

Mid 30’s on a work commute, 8 miles each way on single and dual carriageway
Easily mid 40’s on a motorway run with the cruise on at 70 ish
Had a new battery last month as the original was starting to get a bit sluggish and throw up fault codes.
A/C condenser replaced last year, north of £500 fitted but other than that consumables only.
It’s not let me down in the two years I’ve had it.

I can't comment on the XJ but my XF shares the same 2.7D engine and I easily get 550+ miles out of an 80 litre tank.
