Yes, it is the fastest colour, have had a couple of Guards Red Frontrunners myself.....

I remember passengering in a brand new guards red 944 turbo. What an experience ...and a fond memory. We were absolutely blown away by a silver XR2. Far from standard, it had been blessed by the turbo technics fairy....

That may have been one of the original 944Ts (like mine above) that had 220bhp and a teeny weeny bit of lag, mine had the Promax Stage 1 so was putting out nearly 300 with slightly less lag.

As the red had faded to matt pink it didn't look much to ther road users, so I tended to let the yoofs in the hot hatches past then just relax behind them whilst they scraped their door handles trying to pull away....
