Gedgeys 2nd Glanza, forged & JAM kitted
Discussion
So by complete accident I have purchased a 2nd Toyota Glanza.
This example was up for breaking on the book of faces last week, I enquired about the JAM sports front bumper and mistakenly took slightly too long to reply to the guy. And so lost out on the bumper! Me being childlike, threw a tantrum and bought the whole car.

Now onto why it was up for breaking, the prev owner timed up the engine wrong (supposedly). And said there was damage to pistons and valves.
Car was delivered last week by recovery truck

Dove straight in and started to remove the head and inspect the damage so I knew what needed to be ordered. Fearing worse case scenario of new pistons and rods, recon head.
As soon as the cam cover had been removed, the smell of fuel was ridiculous.

And upon lifting the head.......I was greeted by this

Zero damage, none at all. Red stuff is the coolant as we were rocking the head to remove it.
The prev ow er had literally just flooded it with fuel. If you look it has Rx8 injectors but std ECU so the scaling was all wrong and would have completely flooded the bores with fuel.
One very lucky boy! So being a pistonhead, thought with the cash I have saved from not rebuilding the entire engine. I'd do some upgrades.
Firstly, uprated valve springs. Rated to 9500rpm

Done in the garage like a true home built car

And then to solve the fuelling and bore washing issue, a brand new ME221 plug in ECU

So as of now the car sits abandoned on my dads front grass waiting for the new ECU to arrive so can see if the thing actually runs!
Few pics with its housemates
