I just recently bought this 14 month old Abarth 595 Competizione after deciding I needed something fun again after selling my Cayman S last year.

The previous owner had specced leather so it doesn't have the Sabelt bucket seats, it does have some very nice leather standard seats instead which look really nice but offer pretty poor lateral support. He had also fitted some springs to the OEM Koni suspension and some spacers which improve the standard tip toe narrow look no end.
The driving position isn't great, its really loud, turning circle is ridiculously big, small fuel tank, small boot etc but I absolutely love it! Last weekend was the first time i've had the chance to drive it properly so where better than to join 23 other petrolheads and do 800 miles around the Highlands!
I fitted a Bluespark tuning box the day before leaving which gave it a welcome boost in power, from 180bhp upto supposedly 205bhp maybe 210bhp.

It was phenomenal on the single track tight twisty stuff, even on the fast flowing bits it didn't show itself up at all and surprised some of the guys in big power cars. I've never had so much fun in a car, in the dry it is ridiculously chuckable and the big Brembo brakes never faded once and they got absolutely hammered constantly. It returned over 26mpg the whole time too which was great!
i'm not sure what to do next, my wife is wanting it so I have permission to buy something bigger and better but I think I'll keep it for myself just now!

Fabulous cars, yours is a great example. What did you process those photos with? Adobe Lightroom? They look great.

Just a little bit of lightroom tweaking.

Nice pics, great car!

I’m thinking of doing the reverse to you - I’ve got a hankering for a Porsche and will have to sell my Competizione to fund it.

They are brilliant fun though aren’t they!

Had a brilliant time in mine last year in the Swiss Alps - little write-up here: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=17...

Heading back over in three weeks, and cannot wait...

The plan is then to sell it and scratch the Porsche itch...

Fantastic little machine! Years ago an ex of mines had a standard 500 when i had a M3. I could get from one end of town to the other in her car far quicker than i could in mines. For smiles to miles it really is a perfect little thing. I also did the NC500 in it long before it was named that.

Welcome to ownership- I’m 3 weeks in myself.
There’s a dedicated thread in the fiat/Alfa section.

Fantastic little cars!
