Finally, after weeks of searching, and then Finding the right car for me 2 weeks ago, I'm now collecting my car today!
I took a trip up over to Brooklands Mercedes 2 weeks ago in the hope that I would be able to bring the car home the same day...
After they did the best they could to get the car ready to take home, when they did the PDI, they found that it needed some work to bring it back to main dealer standard.. so much work infact, that its taken 2 weeks to complete.
Quite surprised at this tbh, but can't fault the dealership in anyway for the attention to detail and standards that they insist upon.
The car looked great and drove fantastic, but hey have still fitted the following new parts
4 brand new tyres as the existing tyres weren't matching.
New front and rear brake discs. as the existing set were over 50% worn.
Full set of brake pads, existing were over 50% worn
They sent the wheels away for a full refurb, (and not just a re paint in the car park!)
New Air condition unit.
New keyless entry system, Loom, and door handle.
Full MOT
B service
and a 2 year warranty.

Despite the waiting, its been the best experience I've ever had buying a used car.
I'll get some pics up later when I'm at the dealership.

Congrats OP, I loved my 'normal' 63 coupé, so the 507 should be a step up. Looking forward to pics.

hello,

in relation to the change of the Air Con: is that due a "wheezing" noise it made?

No, the air con didn't work, they thought it just needed re gassing, but it was in fact leaking.

Congratulations, they’re a great car - it doesn’t have the stickers on the side? I liked them on mine, but not to everyone’s taste I guess!

Great cars! Get an LSD sharpish though, if you intend to enjoy it's performance.

Lovely!

I just collected my C63 estate on Thursday in Cambridge and had a bit of a road trip across the country back to Ireland.

Thoroughly enjoyed the noise through the tunnels in Wales en route to Holyhead.

Ah, I know what you mean, I test drove plenty, and the difference between, LSD and open is obvious.

So I searched for one that had, this has the AMG Diff on it

It had the decals removed due to some repairs from stone chips etc, I have ordered some new ones, just waiting for them to arrive.

So the new rear badges arrived today.. I've been contemplating on leaving it de badged, but now they are on, think it makes it.

It is an AMG after all, it would be rude not to put them back on.
