2010 Clio RS200 - Full fat with cup pack
Discussion
Well after owning a Saxo VTS for the past 8 years, and systematically making it less and less usable I have just scrapped it, however a few days I managed to pick up a 2010 Clio RS200 Full fat, with the cup package.
Goodbye my love!

The Clio is pretty much standard in my eyes, it doesn't have any uprated mounts or anything however it does have KW V3 suspension, and some brand spankers OZ ultraleggera alloys with AD08's, and an Akrapovic exhaust.
Some photos for now, and I'll put my thoughts on the car up once it's fixed, as obviously it broke 8 hours after I bought it, it's running as rough as a badger with a suspected faulty pre cat lambda, it drove from Kings Lynn to Newcastle upon Tyne fine, then decided to be very French the next time I started it up!
Anyway, here it is.

Looks great, my Clio wouldn’t start within the first month of owning it. Characterful apparently
That seemed to be my issue! the washer jet leaking into the 1st plug, nice one Renault, However that was no new plug!
I was assured it was serviced when I bought it, foolish me took his word for it, the oil filter was rusty too so that was done at the same time as the plugs.
I did the air filter yesterday as that was mainly spiders.
Plans for the future are to not modify it, so...Bushes, a remap maybe, seats, a cage, rear brace, weight reduction. But most of all cutting some holes above the front struts in the scuttle so I can adjust the front dampers without having to remove the wipers each time.

I had this on track on monday at Teeside Autodrome, £40 for 3 hours on the karting track, not ideal but I thought I'd give it a go.
I was totally shocked by just how good it was, the only thing that let me down were the seats, I was slipping all over the shop and had to brace myself with my knees on the dash and door.
The cornering was amazing, the track is tight so the car would have benefited from a diff but that KW V3 suspension is just sublime, I'm not a fan of the AD08R tire though but it may be better on a longer track where I can keep it cooler, the fronts kept shooting up in temp.
There was a guy there with a stripped out clio, with an intake and a few other bits and bobs, it killed him around the corners, and much to my surprise it also pulled away down the straights.
Things got a bit notchy in the gearbox so I let that cool down a bit and went out again and it was fine, when it happened again I chose to head home rather than do what I would usually do and drive it as hard as I could until the box shat itself, I must be growing up.
So for the future I've ordered some gearbox oil, I'm on the lookout for some seats and I may begin to strip some of the weight out of it, here we go again....

Lovely car OP! I'm a 197 F1 owner myself.
Re the gearbox I'd recommend flushing the oil and replacing with Redline MTL, it made my box feel 100% better and it now works from cold and doesn't crunch on track.
These Clios are known for chocolate gearboxes but it you slow down your changes and don't bang them in like you're in Fast and Furious they are fine.

Okay so a little bit of progress on the car, I have Croft booked for August 20th so I have a deadline to work towards.
A guy local showed interest in my interior and offered a swap for a pair of BS1 buckets with OMP sliders and subframes, he also had a BYC wing, which I didn't decide I wanted, but he brought with him anyway, and I bought.
Possibly the worst photo of the seats ever, but they're okay, I need to fanny on with the height and then fit the lap belt buckles to the exhaust tunnel with some spreader plates.

Again apologies but my phone seems to have gone full potato in the focus dept!
Anyway, I decided to grab a spare boot hatch rather than destroy my cup spoiler and/or ruin the original hatch, I found one an hour away and the Type-R van was deployed.

Next I whapped the original hatch off, the eagle eyed may notice the interior is starting to be stripped.

After some measuring, measuring again, and even more measuring it was time to get the drill out, tada!

Oh I almost forgot, I ripped the radio display out and replaced it with a ScanGauge II
