Porsche Macan Turbo
Discussion
Due to the arrival of a little girl on the 31st of May, it quickly became apparent that the i8 wouldn't be as good a family car as I thought it would... So thought it may be time to sadly look for a more practical replacement.
I've always liked the look of the Macan, so went looking for the sensible S Diesel version, a short search of Auto trader I scrolled through, and found a white 2014 Turbo, at a good price as well. Man maths decided this would be better than the long run... I ended up going to see it, and purchased it..
It seems a very impressive car, a 3.6 Twin turbo V6 with 400hp, this is my first car with PDK, which is fantastic, the first owner seemed to spec it nicely, full leather inside over every panel, and an alacantara head liner, and carbon fiber panels everywhere. It also has the adaptive self levelling air suspension, this gives a fantastic ride, even though its running on 21 inch wheels. It's a fantastic car to cover distances in, but does have an amazing turn of speed when you want it to. The handling is amazing for a near 2 tonne car, with the Air suspension the car can be dropped lower which helps. The only thing I would like, is a bit more sound from the V6, but wonder if this would change the character of the car. Otherwise I'm thrilled with the purchase! Even the OH seems to like it.

I really like these, wasn’t sure when they came out but they have grown on me big time! Think it’s a great allround choice, particularly with a new arrival (congrats on that!)
The few I have heard passing by have always sounded lovely but I am guessing being a Porsche it’s insulated pretty well so what you hear inside is not what passers by hear outside. Maybe get someone to do a drive y for you?!?

Many thanks
Getting used to the lack of sleep! , but all worth it
It does seem impressive, has a first day driving it today, cruises brilliantly, but shocked me when accelerating with how quick it was for the weight.
It really does seem insulated. I may do that! Would certainly be interesting to hear it from the ouuside.
When pushing it today, the exhaust note did change and could hear ab bit more.
