1990 Nissan Pao...
Discussion
Pronounced 'POW' apparently.
Anyway, as some may remember, my little Japanese Honda pickup ended its life in a rather unfortunate way...

So, what to do when you like small, quirky, Japanese things and the only chance of another Acty would be to import and get modding again?
You keep a look out for something small, Japanese and quirky already in the UK!
So here it is (being collected tomorrow) the Nissan Pao. Built by all accounts because Japan got the hump with how well the British Mini was selling, so they did something for themselves...

Apparently It has a blistering 50 (ish) BHP 1.0l engine and a three speed auto box and is pretty much a K10 Micra underneath.
Top speed will at least be better than the Acty, although may take a while to get there!
Will report back with just how quirky it is later...

Love these! I've had a couple pass through my hands, I sold one to a friend in Vienna and drove it out to him
From memory the Nissan 1.4 or 1.5 petrol from the same era Sunny fits in quite nicely. Does the radio still work when you pull it out? From memory they're meant to so you can listen to your favourite Japanese radio station whilst having a picnic
