Not sure where to start. Long time GTR owner but this project starts in 2016

having had a 32 gtr when i was a student in 2003, (then sold it to buy a TME 6.5) i always wanted to go back to a 32.

chance happened that one came up and went back into ownership.

The car was in blue (rare as im sure those in the know, know) but it was the only colour i wanted. Late edition 1994.

When it arrived, i wanted it stripped down and undergo full restoration, purchasing all the parts new, and starting down a road of (as far as i could perfection). The car is still in japan and about to be sent to Midori Seibi for final tune of the V cam and N1 engine.

2016 arrival

Found out Nissan had just dropped a new N1 engine in. (result!)

car was stripped down and underwent paint preparation, ditching all the old bits like crusty wind deflectors etc.

Nismo aero is original

Midori are fitting the 35 MAFs and repainting the engine covers, their ECU and V cam.

should be there in 2 weeks time smile

Superb. Love these and it looks in great condition. Guessing that little lot cost a pretty penny?

It's been a journey but one i wish to continue as it's all been very positive.

GTR parts keep developing and Omori keep releasing new items. When i stop by, they always seem to have something new.

Carbon airbox is not featured on the build yet, (the engine just went back in in the photo) so some parts are not fitted.

i shipped the Nitron 3 way set up from UK to Japan as made more sense to do that, than pay double the price it cost in Tokyo.

cost of the build, hard to say

parts, probably in the region of £35k id guess, Midori's cost maybe they will charge around £10k for the set up not sure yet, dont have their bill, as they dont quote prior to the build.

Then the original car cost, and additional costs to put everything together.

still it's fun !

should be rolling around the streets of Tokyo end of August.

i have the 34gtr to use on special times during the summer and the 35 is the daily

32, i just wanted it to be 100% if i start something. Build has evolved, and interesting to see how an RB drives with 35 "bolt ons" with regards to the MAFs and the injectors

Sounds like a nice lifestyle. I love the Japanese car culture having grown up on Gran Turisimo, and read about the Midnight Club and all that stuff.

it had larger turbines, but was detuned from just over 1000ps to it's current spec.

when this car was built from 1999-2009, there was little really known about pushing the limits of the RB (to this level)

tech moves on, but it's a lovely smooth car to drive

(had to sell my previous 34gtr to fund the deposit, but onwards and upwards)

car is featured on speedhunters
