After not bonding well with the Macan, I decided to go another car I've been hankering after, the C7 RS6, I found this one in Bristol, I liked it as it's a change form the usually coloures I would go for (not sure what red it is, it's from the exclusive range apparently) and seems to look more metallic in the flesh, than in photos.

It's just covered 71000 miles, but doesn't look it, and with 2 owners before me. Its seems nicely specced, with the Dynamic pack, instead of Air suspension, it doesn't have the sports exhaust, but seems loud enough to me. I can't believe the way it pulls for such a heavy car, it seems to feel a lot more nimble than it is. Plans for the future are to fit some larger 21 inch wheels maybe, as it's running 20 inch at the moment, they are very comfortable though.

That is very nice and it does stand out in that colour.

Personally, I'd be fitting a chrome front grille, chrome badges, removing the RS6 badge and keeping the small wheels!

Big fan of the colour - looks great!

I like the current wheels as well, though I do remember the reviews saying there's not much difference in ride comfort between the 19's-21's on these.
I've had an A7 with 19's and 21's and noticed no real difference in ride.

I also really like the no chrome look, and the lunar (I assume) interior is lovely!

I think that could be Garnet Red, a mid-00s colour - now available only via Exclusive. I had a humble A3 2.0T quattro in that colour!

Lovely RS. Would have been my ideal car once upon a time.

Dont think its Garnet, there was a similar red called Carmine on the Audi exclusive list... they had one at Goodwood FOS, pic below.

Thanks guys, that does look like it, seems to tricky to identify as it can look flat in some photos, and metallic in others.

Lovely

Why not google the paint code to find the name?

It is a lovely colour. I wouldn't fit the larger wheels, personally.

Out of interest, are you running a warranty or just risking it? I've always loved the idea of a fast Audi but some of the bills are eye-watering!

Lovely car and a real presence! I had no idea these were being made in 2013, it still looks fresh today

Many thanks smile The more I look at it, I think I'll keep the 20 inch wheels.

It's got the 3 months from the dealership, but I think I will go and get an extended warranty though, concerns me thinking the things that could go wrong..

Not much to update with the RS6, and all going well, such a brilliant daily driver

Still can't believe how quick the car is, the acceleration still makes me laugh!

I've also found what a good long distance cruiser the car makes, and what a split personality it has. I took the car to Edinburgh with the OH, and 3 month old, the drive there had lots of traffic, but the return leg, I was most impressed with the cars mpg,

With the cylinder deactivation, it seemed quite frugal! Which was a surprise. Now I've returned, and found dynamic mode again, the guage has returned to a more normal reading.......

I've found it seems to attract quite a bit if positive attention also, which I didn't expect,

I've been looking to buy the Audi Sport exhaust
system for it, as it has the standard at the moment, which does sound good but it would be nice to have a but more volume, but not over the top, there seems to be some on eBay for a good price. I may look to get it remapped at MRC in the future too, when 565hp becomes normal!

Despite not being sure about the colour when I first purchased it, I've grown to really like it, and really pops in the sun light, certainly a bit of a change!
