Having scrapped an mg zr I was running alongside my Elise earlier last year, I had been looking out for another useful daily motor, with a bit more space and practicality thrown in. That plan went out the window when this presented itself!

A 2008 car with a little under 50k miles on it that a friend was going to be trading in. A couple minor things needed done on it, but a set of front discs and pads, front tyres, an oil change, fixing an issue with the head unit and adding a Bluetooth audio adapter and it's been a great machine for the summer!
Had a trip down through Europe for the Nurburgring 24h, a few days driving in the Alps with my dad on his bike and onwards to a wedding in italy.
Given the temperatures were high 30s the whole time I can't imagine the Elise would have been too healthy an idea!

An awesome, if thirsty, beast of a mile muncher and a great trip to get accustomed to a new car! It's not that sharp particularly compared to an Elise, but it is an absolutely effortless car to drive and the noise it makes can make up for just about any other shortfall!

Looks good!

I went to see one (a 55-plate) at the weekend, which has some small rust bubbles on the front wing ahead of the wheelarch just above the bumper.

Yours is a bit newer, but have you noticed anything similar?

Bodywork is all tidy, no real worries on that with this one.
Still see an original slk kicking around locally with some of those chrome stick on arch covers, probably wouldn't want to know what those are hiding!

Great that yours isn’t showing any rust, but probably something for you to keep an eye on...
