My F430 came home

In 2005 my late father rang me to ask what I was upto.... I’d buggered off to Amsterdam for the weekend to see some school friends. I was 20. My father rather wondrously told me he’d just ordered a Ferrari.
3 years later said beast arrived, I loved it at first site. Unfortunately, my dad became ill and passed away in 2010, we kept the car for a year but the harsh reality of driving it to uni 3rd party finally became too much of a negative for my mum and we sold it. I vowed at this point that some day I’d make some money and buy it back.
I found her again in 2009 ( I think) having just been part exchanged against a MP4-12c at Rybrook I think. Sadly I couldn’t afford to buy her back.
In October 2018 I was sat at home one night having told the better half I was doing some work ( with a bottle of Riesling for company) and in a semi drunken state I thought I’d have a little look online and there she was;
I rang Slades in Penn first thing the next morning and asked for the history of the car. Kindly they sent me the log book/ service history. As soon as I saw my fathers name it was a done deal for me. I dumped my c63 and drove straight down and agreed a deal, new clutch and PPI. The PPI could have told me it was knackered but I didn’t care- it was my car and I was taking her home......
So in December 2018 I took her home. I now live at my old parents house and my dads car lives on the drive, ready for my son!

PH these days is a vast ocean of negativity, bickering and repetitive arguments. But it doesn't matter how bad PH as a whole gets, because every so often something like this pops up, and I just know I'll be here for life.

Indeed-well spotted Sir/MadamCar was sold in 2011 and it was 2013 I found it again.
It's been through multiple owners who have each done 1500-2000 miles each in until me. I've put 3000 miles on it in the last year, I'm using it. We go everywhere together.
I haven't got pics of her at my current home but the car gets used as it should....
Every Saturday we go to the supermarket much to wife's amusement, I think she thinks I'm having an affair with the checkout lady in Waitrose. Although this week I got the time wrong (clocks changing messed me up) so it was the co-op for a bit of variety.
I probably overpaid for the car and Brexit certainly hasn't helped the value recently but I don't care. Every other thread on here seems to be about depreciation but my thought is we're only here once and not for long enough so enjoy it whilst you can. In fact, this morning it's sunny so......
