2014 Fiesta ST

First thread on Pistonheads (and my second post) after a long time lurking. I bought the ST in August of this year. It's a white, base model with 22k miles. I'd seen ST-3s for my budget, but I didn't like the way the touch-screen had aged in such a short amount of time and as I'm going to keep it for a while I couldn't forsee the knock-off iPad getting any better with age. As such, I've got the boggo Fiesta dash and the cloth Recaros. The dealer also threw in some mats for me, which was nice of him, and after a few days the weird cleaning smell (cheap cola + fairy liquid + cake = ???) disappeared from the interior. Ford were pleasant to me at the dealership and I reciprocated this by not drinking too much of their coffee or putting my hands all over the Mustang GT on the forecourt.
I'm quite a big (read: tall and fat) man so the seats did take some getting used to, but my body has seemingly warped them enough that after a few months they feel very comfortable and supportive. My dad, who is even taller and fatter than I am, has also driven it with ease. You'd have to be in the circus to find it uncomfortable. I suspect he's also got some speeding tickets coming his way after sending it through the speed camera just outside Wetherby YOI, but that's his problem and not mine. There's ample headroom, too, and you can get a week's shopping in the back. The ride, as has been pointed out, isn't brilliant at low speeds but it doesn't bother me too much.
As it stands I intend to keep it stock but I find myself looking at the Mountune website quite a bit. I'm unsure as to whether or not this would be worth it, because it's quite a potent small car and I'm thoroughly enjoying driving it. Maybe I'll just get the badges and flaps and spend the diff+remap money on something else. Pictures to follow when I've found somewhere decent to take a photo of it. Ie, not my front drive.
If for whatever reason you're in the market for one and aren't persuaded by all the professional reviews, take my advice and go for it. It's a fine car.

I’d recommend Collins CP2 maps over MT, bit more up to date, better value, and can add hardware as you go. Transformed mine.
People seem to love the AET/Vudu stuff too but can’t comment on that myself.
Check your spring isolator bushes on the back (spongy bit on bottom of rear spring), mine were destroyed by 2yo, so yours should be long gone if not renewed. Power flex made an upgrade after seeing my own car, and I can recommend them
