Stunner. Does it strike like an eagle?

Or are you trying to (badly) sell it?

Is that a question or a statement? Whichever the case, my response is: Yes.

I had a HDI one of those. Good handling and I got pulled by plod in it with them saying they had trouble keeping up with me.

Probably more due to the clouds of black smoke acting like a screen than the raw speed.

I had a D-Turbo - great little car.

It died in a cloud of runaway smoke when the blower decided to suck up the contents of the sump.

I've had a few of those including a three-door in the same colour as yours. That one also had the Bosch pump and it would run on anything! Went like st of a shovel too, and I even managed 700 miles on a tank once!

Extremely good little cars!

As I'm from Northern Ireland I'm naturally a big fan of that cool

I've had 2 D-turbos and a NAD. 2nd D-turbo had and 11mm bosch pump and a TD04 turbo shoving 30psi of boost into its aged internals but I have to say it was totally reliable and had far more shove then it had any right to have!

Great cars. I had a 306 XND as my first car. It was gutless and had no cooling system. Sitting in traffic was always a heaters on and windows down event to cool it down. Never let me down though. 700 miles per tank was a regular event.

Then had a 306 d-turbo which felt like a rocket ship compared to the XND. Fond memories.

What's the reason they're so popular in Northern Ireland? I live in Kent, and I've sold a couple of 306 D Turbos to buyers who flew across from Northern Ireland and paid top money for them.

Same here, 1.9 Volcane. When it eventually died at about 198k miles I replaces it with a 2 litre HDI DTurbo. The 306 was obviously newer and better inside but I still prefer 1.9 to the HDI engine. I did a lot of miles on veg oil in the ZX but couldn't find a 306 with a Bosch pump so went back to diesel.

I had fond memories of my green DSport. I had mine lowered with uprated suspension with 5 spoke alloys.
It was go kart in the dry, but in the wet lift off oversteer was positively lethal(fun).

I had a red 306 D Turbo.

Blew two head gaskets in that car, but when it was running it was great. Wonderful handling for the country roads when I was 19!
