AMG C63 Coupe Headlight Replacement

I recently had someone reverse into my car damaging the passenger side front headlight until on my 66 plate C63 Coupe (W205).

The result has been gradual water ingress which has caused the whole unit to fail, so I'm left with lots of dash warnings and no lights at all on the front passenger side.

I had Mercedes take a look and they said it needs complete new unit and control unit - @£1,500 incl VAT and labour.

I had a look on eBay and it seems you can buy a replacement unit and controller for around £500 but when I took this to my local Merc independant, he said only Mercedes could program the replacement unit.

I'm about to book the car in buy thought I'd check here to see if anyone knows of any other options to get this done?
