Hi guys,

I thought I would introduce myself and my new purchase, an original Turbo 2000 with just 37,000 miles from new. I've been longing for a modern classic for some time now I have a garage, and the Impreza was always a hero of mine when I was younger.

I bought it from somebody who clearly didn't use it much but serviced it meticulously, including belts and oil. The service book is fully stamped, so I need to source extra pages cool

Many I looked at have had rust issues but not this one. I finished a night shift this morning so decided to get the oil and filter changed for good measure and to have another good look underneath. I'm in love. angel

I have a few projects coming up. I'll be getting the alloy wheels refurbished (in standard silver of course) and the underside rust proofed, so will keep the thread updated. Thanks for looking.

Lovely look example, not many with that kind of mileage left now. Do you have any plans for it?

No plans apart from keeping it in the best shape possible. I dont intend to modify it, I didn't buy it for that.

Apologies, the pictures above have come out rotated smash I'll endeavour to take some better ones soon clap

I bought a green one in 1999, my first car that I felt was genuinely very quick. The guy I bought it off genuinely had a tear in his eye when I collected it!

Back then, if you saw another one, owners would enthusiastically wave at each other- Bless us, we were actually driving rally cars on the road!!

Superb, yours looks like an excellent example, I am extremely jealous!!!!!

I'm glad to hear that you are keeping it standard, most classic Impreza's have been ruined now. I would love one with some nice Prodrive WR goodies on it.

That is a lovely thing, well acquired. How fast does it feel these days?

Believe it or not, it still feels fast. It's a light car for a 4 door saloon and weighs less than my Celica T Sport 190 that I had before it. Cant beat a bit of old school turbo lag, either cool

Thanks for all the lovely comments so far. I'm looking for a shed to run around in. I'm not moth balling my Impreza into a garage queen, but I travel 20 miles per day for work so dont wish to increase the mileage that much. I intend to use it on my rest days and for shows. It covered more miles the day I purchased it and drove it home, than it has in the 12 months
