E39 520i Touring
Discussion
Hi folks
My first E39 picked up just before Christmas as was needing another estate for family/house chores etc.
Unfortunately just a 520i however only 98k on the clock and it only cost the price of a few tanks of fuel.
Has been off the road since April due to failing the MOT in rather fine fashion with previous owner carrying out a large amount of work and passing over the remaining amount of spares to get it back on the road. It's currently in for its MOT and will be picking up in the next day or so.
Immediate plans are to sort paintwork, which is in reasonable shape apart from slight bubbling in rear arches are and a full wheel refurb.
Car located in West Lothian if anyone is nearby.
Absolutely love the look of the thing and can't wait to start driving it
Cheers

Think I’ve commented on some of your threads on the relevant E39 FB pages
A straight 6 is just that, as already said, not a speed machine but still a bloody good car & engine Yeh, gotta agree. It does sound lovely and suits the body shape.
It is an SE, and one of the last so colour coded everything. I keep telling myself it's a front splitter away from a B10 Alpina.....
It's the 17inch Type 71 alloys. They came in 18's on the 330ci Clubsport. I was about to buy a set of the bigger versions but noticed the dish isn't as wide for some reason and the 17's suit the car well. Probably rides a bit better too.
