I've posted all of this incrementally on the GTR forum but I thought I'd take the time to add it here on PH. No real plans for the car, I keep it garaged in bad weather and use it where possible.

It started in Feb 2018 when as a birthday present to myself I placed a deposit with an importer (who advertises here on PH) based off a handful of grainy and low quality auction thumbnails:

Then It all went quiet for about 6 months until it finally arrived and was prepared by the importer and I was sent some better pics:

After a trip to view and a test drive I was happy so the car was purchased, insurance was done last minute online and i drove it home.

The previous owner in Japan was driving around with the car very low, which I'm sure is fine with their quality of roads but it was completely impractical here in the UK and I couldn't even get the car into my garage on the first trip home. The coilovers were seized so my 1st task was to get the coilovers replaced at a local supplier TarmacSportz and then raise the ride height and swap over my LMGT4's from my previous 350z.

Much better (and usable) and I also found some Japanese coins in the process under the rear seat smile
As the months went by I started compiling and working through a snag-list of odd jobs: Aircon didn't work, steering wheel was worn, HKS induction had seen better days and so on.

Before:

And fitted (along with an engine cover and replacement battery):

And thats pretty much where things are up to at the moment. Last week I attended a rolling road and found out the engine seems healthy:

Not my vid but they uploaded it to their YT if anyone is interested: https://youtu.be/sbbq_BIH9Ks

Thanks all. Yep 280bhp 283ft-lb helped confirm my early compression tests that all's well after 20yrs.

There's lots of things id like to do, but next will be a Nistune piggyback ECU and a remap to take advantage of the 98ron it lives on I think.
